M ost pieces on this CD were originally performed during the event MERZmuseum, part of the project "Art Barns", organised by Littoral to promote rural arts and propose the creation of a Kurt Schwitters study centre in Ambleside, Cumbria, UK, the town where Schwitters spent his last years and produced his last large work, the Merz Barn. MERZmuseum was a 12 hour's live event on September 19th, 1999, initiated by Hank Bull.
