Der Komponist, Klarinettist, bildende Künstler, Autor und Regisseur studierte in Fiesole und Ravenna. Seine Arbeiten reichen von Kam-mermusik und Opern bis zu Licht-Klang-Installationen, Theaterstücken und Medienprojekten. 1987 war er Artist-in-Residence der Djerassi Foundation, San Francisco. Besondere Aufmerksamkeit widmet Roberto Paci Dalò den Möglichkeiten des Radios (Produktionen bei ORF, SFB, RAI) und der Entwicklung von interaktiven Computersyste-men. Seine Themen sind u.a.: Zeit und Landschaft, die Beziehung zwischen Wort und Klang, und - in einem Work in Progress - die Hyper-Klarinette (The Well-Tempered Clarinet Project). Seit 1985 Auftritte in Europa, USA und dem Nahen Osten, sowohl als Solist wie auch mit eigenen Ensembles; derzeit leitet er XENO und KLEZMER!. 1985 Gründung von Giardini Pensili gemeinsam mit Isabella Bordoni. Musikalische Zusammenarbeit u.a. mit David Moss, Fred Frith, Jon Rose, Sainkho Namtchylak, Gordon Monahan... Seine Komposition NODAS wurde vom Kronos Quartet im Juni 1993 in der Wiener Staatsoper uraufgeführt. Paci Dalò ist der künstlerische Leiter des internationalen Festivals L'ARTE DELL'ASCOLTO in Rimini. 1993/94 lebte er als Gast des DAAD in Berlin. 1962, Rimini. Lives in Rimini and Berlin. In 1987 artist-in-residence at the Djerassi Foundation, San Francisco. Since 1982 installations, presented in private and public spaces. A special place in his productions is dedicated to the radiophonic media. His works have been produced by ORF, SFB and RAI. His projects deal with time and landscape, word and sound, and, in a work-in-progress, the Hyper Clarinet ("The Well Tempered Clarinet"). Since 1985 Roberto Paci Dalò presents concerts as a soloist and with his own ensembles.(XENO, KLEZMER!, THE SALVATION ARMY) in Europe, North America and the Middle East. Collaborations with Jon Rose, David Moss, Fred Frith, Stefano Scodanibbio and others. In 1985, together with Isabella Bordoni, he founded Giardini Pensili. His composition NODAS was premiered in 1993 by the Kronos Quartet at the Wiener Staatsoper. Co-author of "Realtime" (1993). His opera "Auroras" was produced in Berlin by the Hebbel Theater and Inventionen '94. Paci Dalò is the artistic director of the festival L'ARTE DELL'ASCOLTO in Rimini. 1993/94 he was living in Berlin as guest of the Berliner Künstlerprogramm des DAAD.
