Hans-Gratzer-Grant 2022

Five short radio pieces by Olufemi-Just Atibioke, Marie-Theres Auer, Selma Matter, Nina Maria Metzger and Leonie Lorena Wyss.

The Hans Gratzer Grant has been offered by the Schauspielhaus Wien since 2008. And it is named after its founder, the actor and director Hans Gratzer.

As part of the Hans Gratzer Grant, five short radio pieces will be produced by Olufemi-Just Atibioke, Marie-Theres Auer, Selma Matter, Nina Maria Metzger and Leonie Lorena Wyss on the theme of "Memory." In their pieces, the authors addressed the following questions, among others: How does memory become narrative? What language(s) are there for it? Which perspectives shape us and from which perspectives do we speak?

These are created in cooperation with the Schauspielhaus Wien and the Max Reinhardt Seminar and are presented on Ö1 Kunstradio.

For the second time, the audience can vote for their favorite on oe1.orf.at from March 19 to 25, 2022. This will be presented in its entire length as a staged reading in the 2022/23 season at the Schauspielhaus Wien.

The Hans Gratzer Jury Prize will also be awarded, and the selected play will be premiered in 2022/23. This year the scholarship holders will be accompanied by the author and theater director Ivna Žic.
