Ars Acustica Group
(http://artsbirthday.ebu.ch)In 2021 the EURORADIO Ars Acustica group is for the 17th time part of the international Art's Birthday Parties around the world and will celebrate the 58th birthday of art all over Europe!
The Ars Acustica Group has joined the international Art’s Birthday parties in 2004. Since then it organizes the contributed contents like most of the participants of the Art’s Birthday Network (http://artsbirthday.net) do - as "presents" for ART. Via ISDN-lines and/or the Internet the contributions are collected at two points, in Vienna (ORF) and Stockholm (SR), where they are sent to the two EBU satellite channels Haydn (H) and Liszt (L). Both satellite channels (H and L) offer “ready-to-broadcast” materials along with signature-tunes and broadcast-identifications. Both channels can also be further mixed or remixed with other live-material.

Also, the EBU Ars Acustica group is proud to present a version of freq_wave, a project by Carl Michael von
Hausswolff.
freq_wave is a sound performance comprised of 12 individual sound works, each utilizing and limited to a
specific frequency range and amplified to act as a single, generative sound space. It is being supervised and
mixed by the Swedish artist and curator CM von Hausswolff. Each artist is assigned a frequency range with which
to work. This process is carried out at each location of the participating National Public Radios and send via
Audio over IP to a server at DESWR. On this server CM von Hausswolff will do a live mix of all the signals. The
stereo mix will directly be transferred over IP to output Haydn. All the resulting compositions are then
audible on the signal coming from EBU channel Haydn and should be broadcasted and amplified together in the
space of your event or at the listeners at home to create a sound installation or performance.
