Douglas Moffat

Exploring the relationship between sound and the built landscape, Douglas Moffat mixes field recordings, electro-acoustics and landscape architecture to create spaces built for listening. His recent project Listening to Las Vegas explored the sonic environment of the Las Vegas Strip. He has presented works at the Jardin de Métis Festival international de jardins and the Send + Receive Festival. He and frequent collaborator Steve Bates were recently awarded the competition for OKTA, the first public sound installation for the City of Toronto to open in 2012. He lives in Montreal, Quebec.
