Ö1 Kunstradio, itself an important hub in the global Art's Birthday network, presents excerpts from the celebrations and gifts for the birthday of art.
Artists celebrate this moment and art by organizing always on 17 January networked birthday parties.
In Vienna, art was extensively featured by Ars_Poetica, Michael Baumgartner, Heavy Mental Superhereos, the Heya Network, Instant Places, Milan Mijalkovic of Macedonia, Rdeca Raketa with Patrick K.-H., Rotting Sounds, Susanne Schuda, Rojin Shafari and Frida Kahlo, among others.
From 20:00 to 23:30 the actress Rosanna Ruo in the role of Frida Kahlo guided through Art's Birhtday in the Radiokulturhaus. From 22:00 the event also took place live on air on Ö1. Some of the performances and gifts for art before ten o'clock in the evening, such as the lyrical-dadaistic short vaudeville "amusement" by Ars_Poetica i.e. Fräulein Hahnkamper (poetry, vocal art) and Bernd Satzinger (double bass, electronics) are part of the Art's Birthday review.

And Rotting Sounds - Almut Schilling, Tobias Leibetseder and Thomas Grill - have manipulated blank CDs by hand and used them to inscribe sounds into them. Provided with a stamp, these were their gifts to art (or rather, to those present).
