A LIVE MIX BY GORDAN PAUNOVIC

THE WORK WAS STRUCTURED AROUND THREE RECURRING ELEMENTS:

The first was a Real Audio Live Stream from Belgrade, created by Aleksandar Vasiljevic and Robert Klajn which included sounds picked up by a microfone hanging out of the window in Belgrade as well as loops of different sounds recorded during the bombing.

The second element that was used by Gordan Paunovic through the whole live-mix was Concerto Grosso Balcanico by Arsenije Jovanovic (Kunstradio, 1993)

The third recurring elemnet was an original recording of 1 minute air raid alarm from Belgrade (received via Internet from Belgrade, April 1999).



The Live Mix by Gordan Paunovic consisted of three main chapters with distinct verbal and artistic elements.

  • Live- Gordan Paunovic interviewed by Susanna Niedermair
  • Statements by 2 anonymous artists from Yugoslavia (at the Syndicate meeting, Budapest, 24. April 1999)
  • Brian Conley - War (tape sent by normal mail, April 1999)
  • Aleksandar Vasiljevic: It's going to rain..I hope not! (From the CD "HOPE", a collection of one-minute soundworks, devised and designed by Colin Fallows, 1998)

II.
