*CAN THE INTERNET
MAINTAIN ITS ROLE AS A "DIRECT" MEDIUM?*

“I am not keen of overhyping technology, because at the end of the
day it is still a very personal relationship to use the technology
that you have. I have heard all
the hype about tv-cameras and laptops and satelliteconections
so many times before, especially in the last 18 months. Like things
could be changed if this kind of technology was available to people.
But I would like to raise the question of personal relationships.
Who would carry such dangerous eqiupment, equipment that’s potentially
harmful to the government or corporate structures? Especially where
they are being used in an extreme situation. If you are caught in
a wartime with such equipment in your hands i think that you really
don’t have much of a chance to survice.
So at the end of the day it all comes down to your personal guts and
your courage to try to make some sort of mission. I am not saying
“Don’t do it,” but it really is down to everyone’s personal decision
about getting involved in these kinds of things. I think the best
side to B92 is that we have people who are ready for that kind of
challenge, but I am really not sure for how long this
is going to last.”
