Composer, performer,sound architect, writer,lecturer,designer and broadcaster.
He has composed the music for innumerable films and TV programmes, was largely responsible for Pink Floyd's Atom Heart Mother, and has performed in a wide variety of international venues. His albums and CDs are collected worldwide.
His Tune Tube interactive installation was highly acclaimed at 'Glasgow 1990'. BBC Radio3 has broadcast his two series on jazz innovators Coleman Hawkins and James J. Johnson.
Schoolchildren of all ages have been enthralled at his sound workshops. He posesses a 'powerful musical intelligence' with a "comedian's taste for the absurd"
