Andrew Garton/Toy Satellite FUTURE SCHWITTERS and its (koan) generative
stream is created and netcast in real time. The process entails voice
sampling, audio editing and processing, synthesis and finally, the construction
of the FUTURE SCHWITTERS within koan. The text comprises
of onomatopoeic voice combinations and original poetry. The latter is
edited so as only the fragments of words -unwords - remain to be cut as
loops and added to the suite of sounds that would be created for FUTURE
SCHWITTERS. The idea is to create a vocal collage informed by Schwitters's
technique, but constructed with contemporary low-cost, off-the-shelf digital
tools. |
