TIROLER ENSEMBLE FÜR NEUE MUSIK (TENM)
- was founded in 1984 by the composer Gunther Zechberger and has been
conduncted by him since ten
- consists of 15 musicians
- has given numerous concerts in Austria and abroad - among other places
in
- Cracow,
- Budapest,
- Sofia,
- Istanbul
- has performed works of more than 60 living composers, including many
premieres
- has made radio and CD recordings
- has been broadcast live on radio
- puts an emphasis on the inetraction between analogue instruments, music
computer and live electronics
GÜNTHER ZECHBERGER
was born in 1951 in Zams/Tyrol/Austria
- studied composition and guitar at the conservatory of Innsbruck and
musicology at the University of Innsbruck
- studied composition privately with Prof. Dr. Boguslaw Schaeffer
(Poland/Salzburg)
- has been teaching at the Department of Musicology of the University of
Innsbruck
- has been composing pieces for solo instruments, chamber music, pieces
for
- choir and for orchestra,
- computer compositions,
- spatial installations and
- action music
- has received several awards and prizes
