Dusan Matic was born in Cuprija, Serbia in 1898. Studied philosophy in Belgrade. Started to write in 1923.

Dusan Matic is one of the founder of the Belgrade Surrealistic Circle. Was a close friend of Breton and Juan Miró, in the spiritual sense he belonged to the French surrealists. The influence of Dusan Matic to the Serbian poetry is remarkable.

Died 12th of September 1980 in Belgrade.
