Dragan Ilic

"Electronic Pencils II was performed in 1976 in Sydney together with Rod Head: Thousands of pencils are thrown against walls, glass and other surfaces. In "Sound Drawing" a series of pencil lines on paper are the source of the sound and in "Sound Sculpture" Ilic plays one of his pencil-sulptures.
The recording of the pencil-sculptures is an integral part of the work intended to contradict the fugitivity of the action. The recordings also form the basis of new recorded versions of the pieces.
