Andrew O'Connor


Andrew O'Connor is a radio producer and sound artist based in Toronto Canada. His work has been featured on numerous programs across the CBC Radio network, like Two New Hours, The Signal, and Inside The Music, where he has worked programming music and producing documentaries, including a feature length documentary on Canadian composer R. Murray Schafer. Andrew`s work has been syndicated internationally on the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, RadioZero in Lisbon, WGXC in New York State. He can currently be heard every Thursday night hosting and producing Disco 3000 a weekly music program on Parkdale Pirate Radio, a clandestine radio broadcast that serves a small but dedicated group of listeners in his neighborhood of downtown Toronto.

Andrew's installations and sound design have been presented at festivals across North America including Megapolis, the Third Coast Filmless Festival, Deep Wireless, the Vancouver New Music Festival, OK Quoi, and the Open Ears Festival of Music and Sound. He has received a commission from the Klondike Institute for Art and Culture to create a site specific work for their yearly thematic series The Natural & The Manufactured, helped create the award winning theater project BOBLO and had his work included in the anthology ``Transmission Arts: Artists and Airwaves`` published in 2011.
