Phillip Ma has a short attention span.
He is currently doing research and teaching anthropology at Macquarie University
in Sydney, and trying to combine this with an active interest in sound, cooking
and psychosexual dissonance.
His research interest is in Hong Kong emigration, and new modes of global
movement between places.
He is exploring ways in which materials normally associated with ethnographic
research can be used compositionally.
He has worked with Robert Iolini on a number of projects, including Impermanence, City in Between, and Marking Time.
