Jon Rose setzt sich seit mehr als zwanzig Jahren mit dem Mythos Geige auseinander, indem er dieses Instrument aus dem Kontext seiner langen musikhistorischen Tradition und seiner mythologischen Bedeutung löst, um es für neue musikalische Formen und Spieltechniken zu adaptieren und einzusetzen. Er arbeitet seit mehreren Jahren mit der neuesten Computer-Technologie, entwickelt neue Systeme für Musik und Computer.
