Martine H. Crispo

Since the mid 1980s, Martine H. Crispo has worked as a sound artist, improviser and musician, presenting live radiophonic performances, creating sound installations and playing the ukulele. She has presented her work in numerous performance festivals in Canada and in Europe, as a solo artist and as a member of the original Orchestre Velo as well as creating sound for dance and theatre. She has continually hosted a live radio show since she began experimenting in sound. Her current show, Chaud pour le Mont-Stone, is broadcast live every other Thursday evening on Montréal radio station CKUT 90.3FM. Her recent radiophonic works integrate the sounds of circuit-bent vintage educational toys, motors, electro-magnets and objects in motion.
