CoRRoSioN is selforganized group of individuals who are interested in using computers as a means of their creative expression. Group consists of programmers, graphic-makers, musicians, designers, directors and others who are contributing to groups work and activities.

Founded in mid 1992, during its existance group was a homebase for numerous computer enthusiasts which have been developing their skills and techniques of creating experimental audio/visual productions and creating new forms of computers usage as a specific media of creative expression available to a broad range of people in the form of home computers.

What makes CoRRoSioN and its associates different from 'classic' multimedia approach is huge respect to machines' functionality and studying of the most elementary ways of computers' logic which leads to understanding the machine. That process is making us capable of creating our own software which is able to do exactly what we want which is usually a lot more than what usual software packages offer. Process of software development includes active cooperation between designers, musicians and programmers which in the end produces our own productions, depending only on our knowledge rather than software capabilities.

Through this process of everyday learning, exchanging of information and working, indivudals inside the group have the chance to develop themselves in multiple aspects of digital creation, and together they are able to produce seemingly unbelievable things, destroying the myths set up by commercial mainstream industry. Giving our work available for free download, we share our experiences with other groups and participate in growing society of truly free unmoderated digital art scene known as 'demo scene'.

CoRRoSioN, just like complete demo scene, doesn't use computer technology for easier work inside classic media forms, but on the contrary, by undestanding technology and respecting its rules, we are creating new forms which are instantly available to anyone who doesn't use his brain only to fill in the gap between the ears...

Our webhq at www.crsn.com, which is online since 1997, contains large archive of our past and present releases which are available for immediate download. Beside CoRRoSioN production releases and downloads, www.crsn.com also hosts serbian projects which are gathering and supporting the most talented members of serbian graphic novel scene, low-fi video scene and many many more. Lately group and its associates gathered around www.crsn.com have set up a computer/video/music studio and continue to work on supporting and developing independent electronic art scene in serbia.
