Born in Nottigham, UK in 1962. Originally training as a filmmaker, he first became involved in the British independent film and video scene in the 1980s, and continues to make low budget and no-budget video and film work. Andy is currently Senior Lecturer in Video at Canterbury Christ Church University College. Working now as an academic, his research interest in sound in the avant-garde film has prompted him to produce new work in which sound plays an increasingly important role. Steel II is his first venture into Radio Art.
