Looking for Work

executed in: Vienna

A tribute to Robert Filliou and Roy Kiyooka. A cup, a saucer. Another cup, another saucer. A pot of tea. A newspaper with a large classified-ad section. Two artists sit across the table from each other. They pour each other tea. Each one reads an ad from the Job listings of the paper - looking for positions for artists. They highlight things like: new saw mill, all trades welcome (does this include artists? are philosophers required in industry?). [originally performed in 1979 by RF and RK in Vancouver]

Silence

executed in: all together

On a given visual signal (by one person, i.e. by showing four fingers slowly one by one) the whole assembly shout very loudly the word SILENCE or RUHE or STILLE or TYSTNAD (but to honor Jhon Cage would be best with SILENCE). Good Luck !
