Kotombola doesn't go anywhere, it's just a pile that's both local and everywhere. Kotombola just hangs
around lazily, even on Art's Birthday, until someone pulls something out of the pile or empties a beer
over it.
The Kotombola collective digs through a pile of clothes on the side of the road, picks out a piece,
examines and manipulates it, and finally throws it back on the pile. In this way, sounds, words, texts,
tones, images are created; a green plastic dinosaur, a piece of string, a bitten apple from the day
before; rewound, accelerated, braked, repeated; and finally archived, installed, performed, streamed. With
Kotombola, methods for collective authorship are developed and tested.
The results so far are an eight-hour night broadcast at Radio Lora in Zurich and an online performance at
Galerie D21 in Leipzig / Radio Blau / Radio T.
