Ö1 competition for experimental literature and radio art

In an open call, artists from all areas were invited to participate in the Ö1 competition for experimental literature and radio art "Entfernt verbunden - A Simulation of an Exchange" with radio pieces up to five minutes in length until July 10, 2020.
The focus of the competition was not on the exchange of art, data, and facts, but on mutual understanding and the desire to understand – on interaction among the participants and the idea of a network of solidarity that goes beyond economic aspects and transcends all borders.
Until the end of July, the Ö1 Online audience could vote for their favorite piece. Most of the approval was given to "Tetralog: a cybernetic radio play" by Flatus vocis. The audience winner will be broadcast on August 30th on Ö1 Kunstsonntag in "Radiokunst - Kunstradio" at 11pm. In addition, ten other radio works from the almost 100 entries to the Ö1 competition "Entfernnt verbunden - A Simulation of an Exchange " will be heard. We are very pleased about the abundance and variety of the submissions and would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who submitted their works.
