In the framework of the Ö1 Schwerpunkt "Nebenan: Georgien Erkundungen in Europas Nachbarschaft" Kunstradio contributes with the radio piece „Umweg / detour“ by Georgian artist und musician Jorjick. Jorjick deals with the motif of being on the move. The sounds used for his radio composition were recorded during long trips, some as far as India or even further, as Jorjick claims. Being on the way is a vital condition, since we come closer to a real sense of time. There is no time for attaching thoughts on the wall like paintings and consider them from a distance – we break free from our thoughts and can develop new, interesting and beneficial idea. Nowadays it is hard to find a balance, and being on the go is a good remedy.
