Brazilian artist Renata Roman was featured on Kunstradio in November 2015, as a part of the series „An ear for an eye“ curated by Lilian Zaremba. Roman works in the areas of radio art, installation, sound poetry, field recordings, and she is engaged in the creation of a soundmap of Sao Paulo, where she lives and works.

1) *Her TZ* was produced for Kunstradio in April 2016. “The piece is about the experience of a radio personal listening in different cultural contexts. Wandering in an imaginary dial that was made cutting sound waves, noises and speaches, dislocated and put in layers. The experience of listening to an unknown language as a resource for the appreciation of the sound itself. A radio among so many other radios.”

2) “Sampa” is the colloquial name for the Brazilian metropolis Sao Paulo. The soundscape composition „Sampa“ was created for the Tsonami Festival in Chile, an international Festival of Sound Art. The piece reflects the diversity and the complexity of the city of Sao Paulo.
