Arsenije Jovanovic, a theatre director, radio artist and composer based in Belgrade and Rovinj,  has provided us with his selection from the Kunstradio archive. The selection process is described in the following lines by Jovanovic:

“I was listening a bunch of pieces in Kunstradio archive and stopped at Andrew Garton's 'Sensorium re-connected' from January 2009th. That my choice was more random than deliberate. I have stopped at something what I liked much in that very moment but if I would go on with the listening I would stop at some other piece being happy the same. More or less like in the previous case. It's like going out to buy a pair shoes, visiting many shops, trying sneaker or loafer or whatever. Once you feel tired you make your criteria less rigid and eventually buy a pair of moccasin or running shoes not the best in the city but good and comfortable enough.”

Andrew Garton lives in Melbourne, Australia. He's a composer, producer, media artist, curator, web activist and TV producer. In 2005 he curated the radio art series „Frequency Post“ for Kunstradio's „curated by“ project. Before, he was involved in network art projects such as „Re-cycling the future“  (1997), „..devolve into..“ (2002), „MerzMuseum / Schwittradio“ (1999) and „Sounddrifting“ (1999). His last piece for Kunstradio, „Sensorium re-connected“ refers to a collaboration with the Australian artist Stelarc, whose performance and interface work deals with humans and machines, body and technology. From soundsamples of Stelarc's performances Andrew Garton created the generative composition „Sensorium Connect“ (1997). It was produced for the internet by the Australian radio art program „The listening room“ and streamed for the duration of six weeks. In 2005, Garton produced an entirely new version, which he considers a composition as well as a process.
