„Möbiuskantate“

PLAY| The Austrian media artist Hofstetter Kurt has composed a cantata for what he calls Moebius sounds: short sound elements are played forward and backwards at the same time and thus generate sounds without beginning or end, just like the Moebius strip has no beginning or end. For the composition Hofstetter Kurt used pure and raw sounds, without digitally enhancing them. The Moebius cantata “Zart” is best listened to via two parallel sets of speakers: this setting creates a cycle of sounds which is vital to the Moebius experience.
