On Easter Sunday Kunstradio will feature the musician and idea worker dieb13, who will explore the theme of feedback and its history in his most recent radio work.

When the groundwork for modern radio transceivers was set down in 1913 in the form of a “feedback circuit for the production of oscillations,” seven engineers and inventors from across the globe fought for years over the patent rights for this “invention.” Among the seven were the American Edwin Howard Armstrong, the German Alexander Meißner, and the Austrian Siegmund Strauss, who is commemorated by a plaque at the entrance to the ORF Funkhaus as the “inventor of the feedback circuit.”

In his text, sound, and radio collage, dieb13 sends this unwieldy subject through the feedback loops of creativity.
