Resultat is zumeist ein 24-Stunden-"Berieselungsteppich".

This radiophonic piece by the young Austrian musician-author-artist Oliver Stummer is an attack on corporate radio and listening habits evoked by this format. Coming from the U.S., nowadays, corporate radio along with its target-group oriented programme planning is a common and widespread broadcasting concept - with only few exceptions - also in Austria. The result is usually a 24-hour background soundscape which sounds more or less the same on any channel. Due to this fact, Oliver Stummer proposes listening to all these programmes simultaneously to absorb the mass of often useless information at higher speed and creates such a situation by multiplying the signals of the ORF channels Ö3, FM4 and Radio Wien in his live performance. The technical terminology for this act is "ring" or "circular modulation". The results, metallic noisy sounds, can be regarded as metaphor for the noise produced by corporate radio as well as an analysis of the chaos of frequencies; on the other hand, it is also related to a critical reconstruction of pop music such as Plunderphonics etc. and operates with the method of chance which is immanent in remix productions.
