"Es wäre jedoch falsch, in Schubert lediglich das melodische Genie zu sehen, denn seine Weisen sind keineswegs so einfach, wie sie klingen. Hinter dem scheinbar so leichten dahinplätschern seiner Musik - sei es nun ein Lied oder eine Symphonie - verbergen sich eine wohldurchdachte Struktur und eine sorgfältige Phrasierung, die die Schubertfreunde jedesmal von neuem fasziniete."

Ein idyllisches Setting mit Picknick im Grünen am Bisamberg wird den Rahmen für dieses sonntägliche "Stelldichein" mit Bernhard Fleischmann bilden. Der Wiener Elektronikmusiker wird für sein Live-Spiel beim Sender Werke von Franz Schubert einspielen. Dazu bearbeitet er Aufnahmen seines Klavierspiels von Liedern und Stücken des österreichischen Komponisten, aber auch schon bestehende Aufnahmen, am Computer. Diese "Zitate" werden durch eigene Sounds ergänzt, zusammen sollte dies einen Fluß an Melodien und Stimmungen ergeben. In der abendlichen Sendung wird ein Mitschnitt der Performance vom Nachmittag inklusive der Umgebungsgeräusche ein Stimmungsbild dieses pitturesken, gelassen-ruhigen Nachmittags wiedergeben.

"Sendestraße" ist die dritte Live-Veranstaltung der Reihe "SENDEN", die grob alle zwei Monate an wechselnden Orten stattfindet. Der Titel dieser Veranstaltung bezieht sich auf die ortsspezifische Situation am Bisamberg.

An idyllic setting with a picknick on the greens of the Bisamberg on the outskirts of Vienna will frame this Sunday "rendezvous" with Bernhard Fleischmann. For his live-gig at the transmitter, the Viennese electronic virtuoso will play piano pieces and impromptus by Franz Schubert. For the performance, he will edit recordings of his piano-playing of pieces by the famous Austrian composer as well as pre-recorded material with his laptop. These "quotes" are mixed with his own sounds, and in total this should create a flow of melodies and pitches. In the Kunstradio programme later on in the evening, the live-recording from the afternoon performance plus environmental sounds will render an atmospheric impression of this picturesque, calmly quiet afternoon.

"Sendestraße" is the third live event of the series "SENDEN" which takes place more or less every two months at varying locations. The title of this event refers to the site-specific situation at the Bisamberg in Vienna where one of the tallest transmitters of the Austrian Broadcasting Company ORF is located.
