Für den Live Radio Mix von devolve into mischt Peter Courtemanche CD Sounds mit den Sounds aus dem Internet und ihrer Darstellung im Foyer-Raum des ORF in Graz.
devolve into bleibt auch nach dem 15. Oktober auf unbestimmte Zeit als
generative on line Installation aktiv.
This broadcast comes live from a performance/installation by Peter Courtemanche taking place simultaneously in the foyer of the ORF regional studio Steiermark in Graz and on line. This event is the last one in this years MUSIKPROTOKOLL festival. For the stereo on air version of devolve into Peter Courtemanche mixes sounds from CDs into the sounds from the on line streams and their rendering for the on site installation in Graz.
After oct 15th devolve into will stay active as an on line generative
installation for an as yet unspecified period of time.
devolve into has been developed by a group of artists working through the Western Front in Vancouver, partner of KUNSTRADIO in the ongoing WIENCOUVER 2000 project, and has been presented as part of "BUT IS IT RADIO", KUNSTRADIO's contribution to the net.congestion festival in Amsterdam.
