Am 6.Oktober 2000 wurde in Amsterdam net.congestion, ein internationales Streaming Media-Festival, eröffnet. In Wien begann am 6. Oktober das Kunstradio-Webteam in die auf die Homepage des Festivals gelinkten Streams hineinzuhören.
Am 8.Oktober, als sich das Festival langsam dem Ende zuneigte, wurde auf Österreich 1 "streamings" ausgestrahlt - ein Radiomix des österreichischen Komponisten und Musiker Rupert Huber, der die über die Website des Festivals vorgefundenen Sounds verarbeitete und zwar nach einem von Huber eigens zu diesem Zweck entwickelten Score.

"mich haben ampelschaltungen in städten immer interessiert, den titel "streamings" habe ich deswegen gewählt, weil er - finde ich - etwas modeschau-haftes hat und die aufgenommenen streams verhalten sich ja auch gewissermaßen wie models am laufsteg - nur ist der laufsteg eben voll mit ampeln." On oct 6th 2000 net.congestion, an international festival of streaming media opened in Amsterdam and on line. In Vienna the Kunstradio-Webteam followed for three days the streams linked to the net.congestion festival homepage.
On oct 8th, while the festival on site in Amsterdam was slowly coming to its end, "streamings", a special radio mix by the Austrian composer and musician Rupert Huber, using found sounds from the streaming media festival was broadcast on air on Österreich 1, the cultural channel of the Austrian National Radio. Huber has used a score especially developed for this mix.

"I have always been interested in traffic lights, I try to work this into the score. I have been thinking for quite a while about the title, I believe it fits - also because it is somehow reminiscent of a fashion show - the recorded excerpts from the streams like models on a catwalk ... the catwalk being equipped with traffic lights." "streamings" - the very personal radiophonic summary of the experience of an artist listening to the special sound of net.congestion on line.
